From F. and T. to Acmil
NZPA Sydney Acmil. Ltd, formerly celebrated the official change to its new name from F. and T. Industries, Ltd, with the announcement of an increase of 55 per cent in group net profit to sAust.6.9M in the year to June 30. The annual dividend is steady at five cents a share, but the directors are foreshadowing an effective increase next year in making a one-for-ten scrip issue. The profit increase was brought about by cost-cut-ting throughout the organisation. Increased productivity, together with some improvement in margins, resulted, the directors say.
