Puerto Rico beef halt
NZPA-Reuter Washington New Zealand had temporarily halted beef shipments to the United States via Puerto Rico, but had given no formal assurance to the United States that it would do so permanently, official American and New Zealand sources said yesterda.. This year, 2,770,000 kg of New Zealand meat, all but 270,000 kg contracted last year, have entered the United States via the Puerto Rican free-trade zone of Mayaguez.
