Rebecca Perrott again fourth
NZPA special corres Philadelphia Rebecca Perrott was again New Zealand's best performer at the All-American open swimming championships at Philadelphia on the second dav of competition. Miss Perrott finished fourth in the 200 m women s freestyle in a time of 2min 5.21 sec. Earlier, she had qualified fourth in her heat in 2min. 4.Bssec. The race was w’on by Kim Paton, of the United States, in 2min 3.oosec. New Zealand had three swimmers competing in the 300 m women’s medley. Susan Hunter qualified fourteenth and was placed in the con solation final for the second best eight qualifiers. She finished eighth in the final, in a time of smin s.o2sec. Lyn Rowe and Monique Rodahl swam smin B.7sec and smin 18.00 sec in their heats respectively, and failed to qualify for the final 16.
