Should a kite become entangled in electric wires, it must be abandoned, and the incident reported to the Board's nearest office or serviceman. On no account should an attempt be made to free the kite by pulling on its string, as this action can bring the wires together causing them to burn through and fall to the ground, where they may remain alive and dangerous. The string should not be touched — if damp it could be alive and lethal. Some string used for electric fences has wire woven through it, on no account should this be used for kites. Check that your string has no metal wires. HAVE FUN FLYING KITES.
