Chance for Princess Eulogy
Princess Eulogy is expected to spearhead a formidable North Island challenge in the Heathcote Handicap, first leg of the Canterbury Jockey Club’s T.A.B. double at Riccarton tomorrow. Princess Eulogy was a gallant second in the Winter Cup and will not have a rival of the class of Shifnal Chief this time. Others in a likely North Island line-up are Kauere Lad, Karu, and the newcomers Saso and Aubrey. The South Island might be more strongly concerned in the finish of the second leg, the Selwyn Handicap. Battle Joy and Zebak, which dominated the finish of the Paparua Handicap on Saturday, will meet again. Interesting fresh runners include Red Student and Zarnia, which had interrupted runs in the Christchurch Hunt’s Brabazon Handicap.
