Inquiry into leakage
PA Auckland Members of the national executive of the Socialist Unity Party have been questioned by detectives investigating an alleged leaking of the Ombudsman’s inquiry into the Security Intelligence Service. The Commissioner of Police (Mr K. B. Burnside) confirmed that the inquiry was being held but he would not answer questions, saying that publicity would be “unhelpful.” Detective Inspector L. D. Sinton questioned the party’s president (Mr G. H. Andersen) two weeks ago and subsequently had a meeting with the party’s executive.
