NZPA-Reuter Leeds The West Indies beat England by 55 runs in the fourth cricket test at Headingley, Leeds, yesterday and have thus taken an unbeatable. 2-0 lead in the fivetest series. England, needing 114 more runs to win with five wickets left, soon lost the “nightwatchman,” Derek Underwood, when play restarted yesterday morning. Batting conditions were perfect and the sun was shining from a clear sky when the England captain, Tony Greig, and Underwood resumed their overnight sixth wicket partnership Underwood, still on nought, fell to the eighth ball of the day. He slashed at a ball from Daniel outside the off -tump, and Murray took a straightforward catch Tills brought together Greig and Alan Knott. England’s two century-makers of the first innings But another big stand between them was not to be. as with the total at 150 the Daniel-Murray combination struck again.
