suburban area tor the same period were: Smoke: 85. medium. Sulphur dioxide: 35, low. Nitrogen oxide: 78. low. Readings are in micrograms per cubic metre. Levels are: Sulphur dioxide: less than 60. low: more than 200 high, smoke: less than 40. low: more than 120. high. Nitrogen oxides: less than 100, low; more than 250, high.
