Man’s body found on beach

The body of a man who had been missing since early on Sunday morning, when a dinghy overturned in the Estuary, was found yesterday on Waimairi Beach. He was: Keith Wilson Steel, aged 39, married, with three children, of Rockinghorse road. His body was found about 8 a.tn. yesterday by some members of the public. Mr Steel’s companion, Alan Leslie Silcock. of Balcaim Street. Oaklands, reached the safety of a sandbank after the dinghy overturned at 3 a.n. on Sunday. His cries for help were heard by a nearby resident, and he was rescued bv a jet boat about 5.30 a.m.
