Forest management plan

Sir, — S. R. June is correct when he states how full environmental impact reporting procedures should be available on these plans. The position at present is ridiculous and the Government must act to safeguard the interests of the public it professes to serve. The Forest Service, complete with its “over-sights,” has proved to be a disaster as guardian of the public interest. The public should be allowed time to peruse thoroughly the management plan; few people can do this under present conditions, I believe this is by design. — Yours, etc.,
