Constable fined

PA Wellington A collision between two police cars resulted in a 19-year-old policeman. Bruce Alan Scott, being fined $5O by Mr M. F. Hobbs. S.M.p in the Magistrate’s Court for careless driving. Constable Scott pleaded guilty. Sergeant A. J. A. Hamill said that on February 12 the accused was driving a police patrol car along Jervois Quay when he was called to chase a motor-cyclist. He was last in a line of cars. He approached an intersection and while following the other vehicles he went through a red light, striking another police car. Both vehicles were extensively damaged and both drivers received bruising to the chest.
