Strong team from Cambridge
Special correspondent Cambridge ■ The Cambridge trainer. E. S. Dromgool, left for Trentham yesterday with Cattle King, Al’s Pride, Royal Cadenza, and Pingalong from his own stable, and also Kilkern from Miss Margaret Bull’s team for racing at the Wellington winter meeting. Form at the meeting could influence a possible spring trip to Australia for Cattle King and Al’s Pride. Cattle King has been entered for The Metropolitan Handicap to be run at Randwick on October 4, and Al’s Pride for the A.J.C. Derby on October 2. If they make the trip it will not be un<l about a week before the race. Cattle King won the Cornwall Handicap at Ellerslie two starts back, then failed unaccountably inthe Morri-
son Handicap at Avondale. ' His trainer expressed satis- ' faction with Cattle King's j) work on Tuesday and con-' < finned the trip. Roger Lang will ride Cattle King in the Whyte , and Parliamentary Handicaps and will also be on Royal Cadenza in the Second Te ' Aro Handicap. Maurice Campbell will ride Al’s Pride in the Woburn i Handicap. Koiro Scot, from W. J. Bromby’s team, will be ridden in the Trentham Hurdles by R. K. Challis, and Thorn-: hill will be ridden by N. Hain in the Mariri Steeples. They also travelled south yesterday.
