Parliament’s diary
The Government Railways Amendment Bill, the Electricians Amendment Bill and the Rates Rebates Amendment Bill were each read a first time. Papers tabled included the annual report of the Local Government Commission. Members tabled four notices of motion. Ministers devoted some time to answering members’ questions, and the rest of the pre-dinner sitting was devoted to discussion of members’ notices of motion. During the evening the Addiess-in-Reply debate was continued.
