Base metals firm on Australian market
Base metal miners were keenly sought after on Australian stock exchanges yesterday, and closed on a firm note.
Bougainville Copper rose 3c to 146 c, C.R.A. 15c to 325 c and Hamersley 5c to 210 c. Gains were also recorded by B.H. South, M.1.M., Robe River and PekoWallsend.
The only exception to the trend on the mining boards was uranium share, Pancontinental, which fell 30c to 1050 c, while Queensland Mines traded unchanged at 225 c.
