87 Basques arrested

Eta, including three men held responsible for the kidnap and j murder of a Basque industrialist. [ Observers said the arrests I could be as severe a blow to Eta as the arrest of several! of its top leaders last sum-' ■ mor. | The Interior Ministry said {another member of the group {that killed the industrialist, [Mr Angel Berazadi, had i escaped. ! It said the three men ‘ arrested for his murder had 'confessed to the crime and i also to the kidnapping of Jose >Luis Arraste, the son of a : Basque industrialist whom Ithe guerrillas held for five {weeks earlier this year and I released for a large ransom. Mr Berazadi. aged 56. was i shot dead after the Govern{ment ordered his family to {refuse to negotiate an Eta {ransom demand for s3m.
