Workers fall from building
A construction worker was seriously injured when he fell from a first-floor window of the new Trades Union Centre. • John Philpott, of 2 Button Terrace, suffered head and chest injuries and was knocked unconscious. His condition last evening was described by Christchurch Hospital as semi-conscious.. The accident happened at 8.05 yesterday morning. The building was recently handed over to its owners, and only some interior work remains to be done.
