Variety show cancelled
The Webb Brothers Varietv Show, which was to have been held in the Christchurch Town Hall this evening, has been cancelled. One of the brothers had a throat infection and was unable to perform, said the group’s manager, Mr P. Wakeling.
“He can still talk, but he would be unable to carry on for the whole performance, and he is essential to the show,” said Mr Wakeling. “The Brothers regret disappointing their Christchurch audience, but they hope to return here as soon as possible.” The Dunedin concert scheduled f° r Saturday night has also been cancelled.
