Burma border clash
(N. Z.P. A. Reuter—-Copyright) RANGOON. Burmese Government troops, supported by air strikes, have killed 96 Communist rebels and wounded another 150 in the northern state of Shan, it was announced in Rangoon. Government forces had lost 35 dead and 62 wounded in the clashes which took place during the last week of March near the Chinese border. The Government, in a separate statement, said several soldiers were also wounded earlier this week when they repulsed about 500 hill-tribe rebels in Pa-Pun, the second largest town in the northern state of Karen.
