Intermediate school vote

Sir, — I also wish to protest about the postal vote for.

the proposed intermediate school at North New Brighton. Surely, if people are asked to vote on an issue, they are entitled to know the results of that vote. One gets the impression that the Education Board intends to proceed in this matter, regardless of the wishes of the parents in this district. The meeting with board members at South Brighton School was very well attended, but this has not been publicly acknowledged by the board. Neither has the board included in the postal vote the parents of pre-school children — the group who would be perhaps most interested in the outcome. I agree with another. correspondent, R. J. Smith, that there should be a representative from each school present at the counting of the votes. — Yours, M. P. SHEPPARD. April 9, 1976.
