Women’s golf team named
Two members of last year’s Canterbury Russell Grace, team, Jeanette Kinnaird and Rosemary Farquhar, will lead the provincial women’s golf team in the annual fixture against Mid-South Canterbury at Ashburton on Sunday. The top three Canterbury representatives, Sue Bishop, Sue Boag and Vai Cullen, and Judy Davidson were not available.
With Mrs Bishop resting from representative matches this year, the performances of Judith Parkes and Sue Hayden will be watched with interest.
The tfeam, in playing order, is: Miss J. Kinnaird, Mrs R. Farquhar, Mrs J. Parkes, Mrs S. Hayden, Mrs M. Lavery, Miss P. A. Marks, Miss P. McDonald, Mrs B. Clinton, Mrs J. Oldfield, Mrs D. Ritchie, Mrs J. C. Benschop, Mrs W. Storey.
