Oxford rugby team loses

The visiting Oxford club from Christchurch lost 35-10 yesterday to a speedy Lelean Old Boys team in a rugby match in Suva.
Oxford’s heavyweight forwards often had the better of the possession but the visitors could not hold the fast little Lelean men in the back line.
Oxford scored two tries, one converted, to Leleans six tries, four converted,»and one penalty.
Rugby.—The former All Black captain Colin Meads has been appointed selector-coach of the King Country senior rugby representatives this vear. Meads, who played for King Country for nearly 20 years, has the task of picking the team up from a low rating in New Zealand ruby.
