(Waikato), was one of two players with two lives after the first days play in the national champion women’s bowling singles at the Masterton Bowling Club yesterday.
The other was Mrs P Diamond (Taranaki) who had a bye in the fourth round yesterday. One-lifers who remained were the centre representatives of Wellington. Wanganui, East Coast, Wairarapa and Thames Valley. Mrs Wilkie has the bye this morning, when Taranaki plays Wellington, Wairarapa plays Thames Valley and East Coast meets Wanganui.
