Cuts prompt retirement
(N.Z. Press Association) ROTORUA. Restrictions on reading and other finance have prompted the resignation of the Rotorua City Council’s Engineer, Mr D. C. A. List. Mr List, aged 57, who has been the Rotorua engineer for 20 years, had intended to retire in two years time. “The cutback in spending will mean that there will be no new major works during that period,” said Mr List. “I’d be spending my last two years patching holes.”
