Februarv 27 The Australian Labour lead er of the Opposition (Mr Gough Whitlam) today declined to comment on a report from the Iraqi Embassy in Kuala Lumour denying that the Iraqi Government had helped Mr Whitlam by gram ing $500,000 for his partv's General Election funds Mr Whitlam said that all matters concerning fund-rais-ing would he discussed at a meeting of the Labour Party 's national executive next week and that no comment would be made before that meeting The Iraqi Embassv statement said that Iraq had never interfered m the political at faits of another country and it added that the visit of two Iraqi officials io Austialia last December had been "mainly to discuss th<- establishment of an Iraqi Entbassy-Con.su late in Australia"
