Shock kills 4-year-old
(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND. A four-year-old girl was killed in Auckland when she put her finger into the socket of an electric light. She was Julie Anne McLeod, of Battersby Avenue, Mount Roskill, The police said the girl was visiting relatives in Mountain View Road, Western Springs, when she was killed. She was playing in the basement of the house with friends when she put her finger into a live lamp socket hanging from a beam.
