Most popular names in 1975
(N.Z.P. A.Reuter—Copyright) LONDON. James and Sarah again proved the most popular names with parents announcing the birth of their children in “The Times” last year. The two names also were most favoured in 1974. In the list of the 10 most
popular boy’s names the only change from 1974 was Andrew replacing Jonathan. For girl’s names Alexandra, Elizabeth, Joanna, and Rebecca took over from Anna, Charlotte, Helen and Sophie. The ten most popular names with last year’s position in parenthesis were:
