Film trailers
Sir, —What sort of policy will allow the management of the State Theatre to show distressing excerpts from the film “Jaws” as a trailer for the family film “The Island at the Top of the World?” There were many small children, including my own, at the showing attended. No don’' a number of them, as the censor points out, could be distressed by the scenes shown. How can it be that the theatre management ignores the censor’s recommendation. —Yours, etc., C. MATTHEWS, January 8, 1976.
[All film trailers are viewed by the Government Film Censor and passed as suitable for general exhibition.]
