English girl convalesces

Marie Sullivan, aged six. returned to her grandparents yesterday after spending eight days of her holiday in New Zealand in Wellington Hospital.
Three hours after arriving in Porirua from England, the girl was struck bv a hit-and-run driver as she tried to cross a Porirua East road. She still has stitches from abdominal surgery to be removed and will require daily visits from a district nurse.
But she said yesterday I when she arrived back at her [grandparents’ home to a fam- ; ilv welcome that she was f ee)ing much better and ; ooked forward to the remainIder of her holiday.
