Tape likely for skating
A videotape to record finishes of races will, it is hoped, be in action at the national roller-skating championships at Canterbury Court this week. Photo-finishes are common practice overseas, and so many events at this year’s national championships resulting in close finishes, a videotape is needed. It will |be essential at the world ■banked-track and road championships in New Zealand in 1977.
A vice-president of the New Zealand Federation, Mr N. Carw r ell-Cooke told members of the speed committee at their annual meeting yesterday that he had been investigating the prospects of I getting a videotape.
