OUTDOORS Mount Cook National Park.— The park staff runs a summer holiday programme consisting of half-day and full-day walks, and an evening programme beginning at 8.15 p.m. in the park centre. Arthur's Pass National Park. —The park programme runs until January 17. Guided walks begin at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. daily. There are half day and full day walks of interest. Each Tuesday starting at 8.00 p.m. films will be shown. Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 8 p.m. interesting talks will be given by park staff at the visitors' centre. The visitors' centre and headquarters will be open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. for information, map and park literature sales, ranger services.
