(.XZ. Press Association) WELLINGTON. The Montreal Olympic selection, John Cottle, won the top prize at the first Wellington showjumping championships at Trent ham Memorial Park on Saturday. On Red Coat, Cottie, of Wellington, won the Teimin Jump for A and B grade ihorses. The effort brought (Cottle a cheque for $5OO, (but his amateur status iis not endangered. I Another Olympic team member, Joe Yorke, of Bulls, (was .second on Big Red, and (Tony Mclntosh of Hastings, •was third on D’Artagnan. The other member of the Olympic ream, Harvey Willson, of Waitotara, filled fifth (equal place on his two (horses, Tussock and Lady’s (Man. The Lemon and Paeroa 'jump for A and B grade ’ponies went to P. Myers, of 'Hawera, on Nautical.
