League leaders draw
t.V.Z I’.A Reuter-^-Copyright) LONDON. A goal five minutes from time enabled Derby to draw its match 1-1 with the joint championship leaders, Queen’s Park Rangers, leaving the position at the top of the English first division unchanged after Saturday’s matches at the half-way mark in the season. But Derby and Queen’s Park were joined on 28 points by two of the chasing group — Manchester United, which won 4-1 at Sheffield ’United, the bottom club, and (Liverpool which pulled off an even more impressive victory in London, beating ■ Tottenham 4-0. . The clash of the leaders ’ brought a dour and frustrating match in which the i Derby defence seemed likely to carry them through, espe- ; daily after Queen's Park had ; lost its mid-field star, Don ■ Masson, in the first half. But 17-year-old Phil Nutt, ’substituting for Masson, headed Queen s Park into the i lead with 11 minutes left.
'Then, with barely five min-i utes left, Bruce Rioch scored! the goal which saved Derby a point. Results: — F.A.
