$400 smash and grab
Thieves escaped with about $4OO worth of watches in a smash-and-grab raid on a Fendalton jeweller’s shop at the week-end. A metal wheel-brace was thrown through the plateglass window of Fendalton Mall Jewellers, Ltd, and the watches taken from a display case. The police said the wheelbrace was found on the floor of the shop. Nothing else was taken in die burglary, which occurred between closing time on Friday and 3.30 a.m. yesterday.
