WELLINGTON. Three New Zealand players have been left out of the squad announced by the New Zealand Women’s Cricket Council to train at Christchurch next week-end in preparation for the tour of India in January 7. Not in the 22-member squad announced at the council’s annual meeting are Edna Ryan (Auckland), Shirley Cowles (Canterbury), and Pat McKelvey (captain) and Barbara Bevege (both Wellington). The team will be announced on October 18. The unofficial squad is: E. Badlam, C. Miller (North Shore); J. Stenning, J. McKenzie (Auckland): M. Dunlop, C. Salmon, V. Sexton, C. Henshilwood, L. Lindsay (Wellington); P. Carrick, V. McGregor, S. Rattray, K. Hadlee. S. Teale, S. Roberts, L. Shanklin, S. Russell, D. Jelley (Canterbury); J. Gill, G. Tipa, J. Hall. A. Hunter (Otago).
