Easy win to Otago
(N.Z. Press Association) TIMARU. Otago University easily beat Canterbury University in straight sets to win the South Island men’s volleyball championships in Timaru yesterday. But in the early stages of the game, it appeared as if Canterbury had too much control and power, racing away to a big lead in the first set. Whether or not it was easing off the pressure, Otago came back to clinch the first set. and superior combination in' the next two sets let them win. 16-14, 15-4. 15-4. Canterbury won the women’s title, however, beating Nelson A, 15-10, 15-3, 15-6.
