Ms Elizabeth Reid, the Australian Prime Minister’s Adviser on Women’s Affairs, announced her resignation in a brief statement issued in [Canberra. i She gave no reasons for the decision, except to say it had been taken after a great deal of consideration. Ms Reid said she would not be available for interviews or comment. Her resignation will take effect from December 5 and she will be on annual leave* until then.
