Pensions board chairman
Brigadier L. F. Brooker has been appointed chairman of the War Pensions Beard. He succeeds Brigadier M. C. Fairbrother, who has held the post for 12 years. Brigadier Brooker gradu ated from the Royal Military College, Duntroon. in 1940, and saw war service in the New Zealand Army Tank Brigade. After serving at the headquarters of the British Commonwealth Occupation Force in Japan, he became chief in[structor at Waiouru Military Camp. From 1960 to 1962 he was commander of the New Zealand Army Force in the Far East. Brigadier Brooker took up his new position on October 1.
