Oct. 2, A 10-year-old New Plymouth boy, Tony A’Court, who saved his sister from drowning just over three months ago, has been awarded a gold medal by the Governor-General (Sir Denis Blundell). Tony earned his merit award for assisting his mother, who rescued her baby daughter after she fell in the family swimming pool on June 22 at Wanganui. Tony, who learned arti- : ficial resuscitation as a ' cub, showed his mother how to revive his sister and then rang the police and ambulance. Mrs W. M.
