WELLINGTON. Oct. 2.
A special passenger train would run between Christ-1 church and Picton during thei Rangatira’s annual survey.! the Minister of Railways (Mr I Bailey) said. The trainwould; run on October 7,8, 9, 10.! 12, 14, 15 and 16. It will! make the round trip on each of these days. North-bound, it will leave Christchurch at 6.20 a.m. and reach Picton at 1.30 p.m.. to connect with the 2.20 p.m. sailing of the rail ferry for Wellington i South-bound, the train will 'leave Picton at 2,05 p.m. Passengers in the 10 a.m. rail ferry from Wellington, which will arrive at Picton at 1.20 p.m., will be able to join the train and reach Christchurch at 9.25 p.m. Mr Bailey said the fare between Wellington and Christ, church would be $7.55.
