Rolleston
Sir, — When will the Government get its priorities in the correct order? It has run out of money for the residential scheme to help the productivity of the land and at the same time it spends money on an ill-con-ceived project like Rolleston. It has not proved that Rolleston New Town is necessary but continues with it. It has been shown that money is necessary for farmers and the weedicide subsidy was a useful scheme for the future benefit of the whole nation. Farmers cannot afford to wait for this subsidy until April. They need it now to get their spraying done. Rolleston should be shelved and the cash used immediately on the subsidy. — Yours, etc., L. G. September 29, 1975.
