Electricity use still frugal

Last week’s electricity use; was 5.4 per cent under the 1 I national guidelines, compared with 8.3 per cent for 'the previous week. “Oil generation increased; i considerably in the week/ fuel costs amounting to! $197,000, compared with 1 $139,000 for the preceding I week,” the general manager, of the Electricity Depart-1 ment (Mr P. W. Blakeley)' said today. Much of this oil was burned at New Plymouth to (commission the No. 3 mach- ; line, which was being con-; verted to run on natural gas.
