To accuse' teachers of being “only con-; ■ cerned with their supposed; ] grievance” is ridiculous. We; ’are very conscious of the: fact that withdrawal of! !teaching services is a drastic! (and unpleasant step to con-: Template, but after four] ! years pussy-footing and ) capitulation by the Government who can blame us fori 'being so frustrated? What! parent would seriously i 'maintain that teaching child-: Iren to read in an infant ‘class is less important than (teaching physics at sixth l form level?
