The Companies 'Amendment Bill was read a first time and referred to the Commerce and Mining Committee for open hearing. The Ministry of Transport Amendment Bill, the New Zealand Walkways Bill and the Penal Institutions Amendment Bill were each read a third time and passed. Members tabled two notices of motion. Ministers answered eight questions. . , The Domestic Actions Bill was returned by the Statutes Revision Committee as ready to proceed with amendments. The House was discussing the committee stage of the Historic Places Amendment Bill when it rose at 1 p.m. until 2.30 p.m. on Tuesday.
