Television Two’s head of information services, Maurice j Smyth, has been appointed 'general sales manager. The position is a new one, >ahd he will be responsible i for the corporation’s sales team throughout the country. ;He will also deputise for the ■ controller of sales and i marketing. i Smyth, a. former newsi paper journalist and tele- ! vision 'frontman, also produced the old N.Z.B.C.’s i “Town and Around” programmes in Wellington and Auckland. He was producer of Auckland’s "Look North” when he was appointed head I of information last February. jThis position is now being advertised. I
