$1052 gift for cancer unit
The Canterbury Breast Cancer Societv presented a cheque for $1052 to the North Canterbury Hospital Board on Wednesday evening.
The money will go towards the purchase of a breast cancer detection unit for Christchurch Women’s Hospital. The Societv has now given more than $25,000 towards the cost of the unit.
The cheque was accepted on behalf of the board by the ’chairman of the institutions committee (Mrs L. C. Gardiner).
