Conference costs cut
It was recommended at yesterday’s meeting of the city council health committee that only one representative of the council attend the centenary' conference of the Society of Health in Hamilton in March, next year. In the past the council has authorised the chief city health inspector, or his deputy, and one other field officer to attend this conference.
The recommendation was made with regard to the need to limit council expenditure on conference attendances.
