Radio night school
CV.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, Aug. 28. The Auckland radio talkback host, Gordon Dryden, is to launch the first New Zealand “night school of the air” within two months. He has signed a two-year contract with Radio I to ■ organise the new venture. I Initially the night school I will be on the air two hours [ a night for at least four nights a week from October. Later it may offer special courses at week-ends. Mr Dryden said subjects to be covered during evening discussions would range from industrial relations to home-brewing, from comparative religions to organic gardening. “We are certainly not planning an intellectual ivory tower,” he said. Other individual subjects already planned include industrial democracy, Maori history and culture, creative writing, winemaking, pottery, public speaking, parenthood, exporting, creativity, and sex education.
