Students to go home

Almost half of the 70 , Vietnamese students studyring in New Zealand are exJpected to take advantage of the South Vietnamese Government's decision to welcome their return home. The New Zealand University Students’ Association’s international vice-president (Mr D. Carson) said from Dunedin today that almost half the students wanted to ireturn to South Vietnam by I the end of the year. Some were thinking of rei turning sooner, he said. | In a statement yesterday, j the Prime Minister (Mr ! Rowling) said he welcomed the South Vietnamese Gov-i ernment's assurance. The Government had previously said Vietnamese students in New Zealand i should be encouraged to continue their studies so they ' could render positive service to their country once their studies were completed.
