Teaching ban
CV.Z; Press Association) WELLINGTON, Aug. 26. Secondary teachers will in future refuse to teach in new school buildings that are not completed at the beginning of school terms. The annual conference of the Post-Primary Teachers’ Association agreed today that strong action must be taken to ensure that pupils and teachers were provided with properly equipped buildings.
About five new secondary schools throughout the country are unlikely to be completed for the beginning of the first term next year.
