Protests on Kissinger

JERUSALEM. August 22. The United States Secretary of State (Dr Henry Kissinger) today opened formal talks with Israeli leaders after a night disturbed by demonstrators chanting “Go home Kissinger."
The talks, on a new interim agreement between Israel and Egypt, took place at the office of the Prime Minister (Mr Yitzhak Rabin) after Dr Kissinger had paid an early morning visit to the Yad Vashem memorial to Nazi victims.
During the night a small group of demonstrators sporadically chanted slogans outside the King David Hotel where Dr Kissinger is staying. The demonstrators, members of opposition and ultrareligious groups, are opposed to Israeli withdrawals in Sinai involved in the proposed new agreement.
